Laura Chapman
Owner
Laura Chapman is the principal in charge at Chapman Business Services. She founded the company twenty years ago and has expertise in the following areas: Bookkeeping, Financial Reporting, QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Enterprise Edition, and QuickBooks for Mac. She is a Certified Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor as well as being a TSheets Pro, Bill.Com Expert and LivePlan Certified. Ultimately, Ms. Chapman makes sure that you are entirely happy with your bookkeeping and financial reporting.
Prior to forming Chapman Business Services, Ms. Chapman worked as a litigation assistant and office manager for several different attorneys as well as an architectural and engineering firm. Thus, Laura Chapman has expertise streamlining and organizing office procedures as well as managing a host of Human Resource issues.
Laura Chapman was born in Burbank, California and graduated from Calabasas High School. She attended California State University, Northridge where she studied voice with an emphasis in opera. Additionally, she sang several roles with local opera companies along with giving a personal recital.

John L. Chapman is a QuickBooks Online Advanced Certified ProAdvisor and is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the bookkeeping process for Chapman Business Services. Mr. Chapman joined the firm full time in February of 2015. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Chapman was an English teacher for 20 years in the Los Angeles Unified School District, teaching primarily at Narbonne High School in Harbor City, California. He retired in 2015. Prior to becoming a teacher, Mr. Chapman spent several years with the New York Life Insurance Company, working first in Group Claims in Los Angeles and then spending several years in marketing, first in Ventura, California and then in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Chapman earned the Fellow, Life Management Organization (FLMI) designation in 1984.
John L. Chapman was born in Abilene, Texas and graduated from Abilene Cooper High School where he lettered in football and was recognized as the Top Scholar Athlete. Mr. Chapman graduated from Rice University in 1977 with a double major in English, and Art and Art History. After moving to California and while working with the New York Life Insurance company, Mr. Chapman attended the MBA program at the University of Southern California (USC.)
John and Laura have been married for 23 years and live in San Pedro, California. They both are opera fans with season tickets to the Los Angeles Opera and enjoy having BBQ parties. John is a virtuoso with a BBQ pit while Laura is “the hostess with the mostest.”
